Radiosity: Diffuse Depth 1, 350 Stochastic, Min res 70 Max res 300
Caustics: 24658721 Photons
Please see the Wireframe : [link]

Scene completely modelled and textured by me from start to finish, lighting was tricky on this one, anyone who has worked with glass alot will know what i mean.

Comments and :+fav: very appreciated

Edit: Thanks for the comments on the aliasing everyone, its now fixed!! Also, new border, curve adjustments, water re-meshed slightly & added noise. I had just got that numb feeling with it, you know when you spend 8 hours staring at the same picture it becomes dead to you!!

Thankyou very much to ~sampdoria and ~bluespeed9 for the DD feature, im really not worthy

Daily Deviation

Given 2005-09-05
Unbreakable by ~theederv shows this beginning 3D artist's uncanny understanding of water mechanics, flow, and it's refractive properties. Simple in basics, true in finish and a wonderful reminder of how an attentive eye can make the difference. ( Suggested by Sampdoria and Featured by bluespeed9 )

theederv Featured By Owner May 23, 2008  Hobbyist Digital Artist
It was buddy, I made the mesh myself rather than using realflow so it took alot of tweaking.....looking back now I would love to re-render this, I could do alot better with skills I've aquired since..

Thanks bro

I couldnt get reeal flow to work with cinema 4D :(
L-X Featured By Owner Jan 7, 2007
It's so rare to find a decent C4D artist on devart. It's usually crap matrix-extruded "abstracts", but this is awesome. GREAT rendering, I can sympathise with the problems rendering glass.

So if I understand your description right, you havnt used RealFlow to create the liquid? You actually modeled that? Amazing :O It looks very similar to RealFlow fluid simulations

dude, i saw this, thought 'ace photo, good enough for a favourite for sure', then i read the artist's comments and my jaw just dropped. not only is this an amazing render, it's a well enough composed picture to be worth my time spent just looking at it, not just admiring the skill that went into creating it as most people do with renders. well done, and yeah, +fav :D
