Syringe but True by theederv Syringe but True by theederv
Heloooooooo again!

The Details:
Cinema 4d r9
Photoshop, the only post pro you see here is the noise and the tag, the rest is exactly how it came out of the renderer!
2 Hour render, annoying strangeness with the caustics, i need maxwell!

In case you were wondering how i did the blood??
I got some grunge brushes and painted on a transparent canvas in PS, then when i was happy i used the liquid tool to manipulate it into the shape i wanted. Created an alpha mask and then mapped it in c4d......easy!!

This image was inspired by a photo (i have on my mousemat) by Packshotfactory (a london based product photographers and re-touchers) so if you think you have seen something similar then that would be the reason why! Only difference is, mines 3d and theirs was a photo!

Comments and Favs always appreciated

PS sorry for the crap work ive been putting out lately, hopefully this will be the start of better things again!

Hey mate hate to burst your bubble, but packshotfactorys syringe is a composite retouched image, taken from several photos and illustrations, its all fake i should know. Over all not a bad effort. Senior retoucher packshotfactory..........:)T

Nice. Does C4D do bump?
It needs some knurled grips and such of the parts that you can unscrew - atleast I assume some parts unscrew :D

I'm not +fav'ing it because mine is better =P

Congratulations, its fair enough to give crit but to turn round on my image in my boards and says yours is better...........I'd prefer it if someone with a childish attitude like yours said nothing at all

Very clever, in case you hadnt noticed i was trying to make a different model to the hundreds of already modelled syringes on DA.

Your model is better....correct but your render is terrible..............I guess its just a matter of opinion isnt it.................please dont bother to comment on my work if all you want to do is advertise yourself!!

I am perfectly capable of taking critique in a mature and grown up fashion, if something needs improving i'll embrace that, it would be nice if you could give critique in such a way.

*yawn*
Get over it and lighten up. I wasn't advertising myself, merely feeling rather jovial. Try as I did, though, I obviously didn't communicate the unseriousness of my comment to you though the emotes I chose.
If you choose to take it as a personal attack rather than, say, perhaps friendly rivalry (because I did say it was nice, you know - and I even made 'critique' on something that I feel needs improving - I of course invite you to do the same), then you should seriously reconsider posting your creations on such a public forum.

This reply of yours is not made in a "mature, grown-up fashion". It's a knee-jerk reaction to what you percieve very ignorantly to be slanderous, self-rightous big-noting.

Also, you have a small penis. :D

Wow.... I feel stupid even saying this because my force powers pale in comparison to yours.
The small, small detail that bothers me just a smidgen is the fact that the needle doesn't actually look like it's attached to the syringe.
Please don't kill me master, I bow and grovel and worship your supremecy!

Great work man, this is breathtaking  great and realistic, got some crit for ya though; the tip of the needle is flat, would hurt like a mother if i'd inject myself that way :D (theyre always lasercut one way into a sharp tip)
and the piece where you press the liquid out , the top of it is too thin, it looks razorsharp, it should be slightly thicker and longer, to fully inject the stuff :)
The render itself is awesome, really great! nice caustics and reflections.
The blood is just perfect, i would want to see the flat layer in photoshop if you dont mind :D
